The Pedal Queens are a non-profit women's cycling club based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Our mission is to encourage women to get out there on their bikes. Road or mountain. Racer or first time cyclist. We want to inspire women to improve their skill, health and confidence by riding bikes. And we want to have a great time while we do it!

Santa Fe has been chosen as the location for the next International Mountain Bike Association conference! October 10-13, 2012!

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Under 21 Road Ride: September 21
Nope you don’t need to be under 21 years of age to do this ride! This is a road ride under 21 miles. It’s a PQ ride to provide early morning exercise before your regular day begins.

Route: Tesuque Village Market/Camel Rock – 8 AM meet at Tesuque Village Market parking area. We’ll ride an out and back to Camel Rock. Nice ride with a gradual downhill out to Camel Rock, which means a gradual uphill on the return to Tesuque (about 11 miles roundtrip).

El primero de octubre ride!
Saturday, October 1st - 10am - noon

Recreational fun ride, meaning no need for lycra or expensive road bike!
We will ride the infamous urban bike path "Arroyo de Los Chamisos Trail".
Meet in front of REI SFe (beginning point of the trail) at 10am.
We'll ride the route southward (towards/past Sam's Club) and return. Post ride coffee & pastries at Lucky Bean in SanBusco Mkt.

PQ Beginner Mountain Bike Clinic
Sunday, October 2nd - 9am - 1:30pm
WIth former pro athelete Jessica Kissel. Jessica has provided PQ with mtn bike skills clinics in the past and they were AWESOME!! So here’s another fabulous opportunity to learn some skills on your mountain bike! Cost is $20 for current Pedal Queens members (this is a smoking deal!)

Tentative Schedule
9-9:20am Registration/Bike Checks/Intros
9:20-11:50am skills clinic at Bicentennial Park (off Alto St)
11:50am-12:15pm pack bikes, drive to La Tierra, unpack bikes
12:15-1:30pm practice ride; wrap-up
Total approx. time: 4.5 hours

Pedal Queens Meet and Greet
Thursday, October 6 · 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Second Street Brewery (original location) 1814 2nd Street
Here’s a chance to meet PQs without the bike & helmet! Meet other PQs to share your bike adventures, ask bike questions, or just hang out with women who bike.
Plus we will be having a sale on our PQ T-shirts & socks.
Perfect opportunity to stock up on your PQ duds! We’ll also review our survey results and upcoming rides/events. See you ladies there!
